At Nice Place Foundation, we are committed to creating a community where girls and
women live free from all forms of Gender-Based Violence. On this day, our team went
into the community to engage parents, youth, and local leaders in open conversations
on the realities of GBV and its impact on girls in the Maasai community. Through door-
to-door sensitization, group discussions, and interactive awareness sessions, we
shared knowledge on girls’ rights, the importance of protecting young women, and the
role every household plays in ending harmful practices.
We encouraged community
members to speak out, support survivors, and take collective responsibility in building a
safer environment for all girls. This engagement strengthened our bond with the
community, ignited meaningful dialogue, and reinforced our mission of promoting zero
tolerance to GBV across Kajiado County and beyond.
